Computer degrees are great degrees to strive for as a working professional or as a student looking for good employment. One of the most in-demand jobs out there is the computer networking engineer. An online computer degree should be hands on as much as possible. For example, if you are studying for a computer programming degree, then you really need to make sure that what you're doing online is going to be useful in the real world. Theory-heavy courses should be avoided at all cost unless you plan to get a Masters Degree in Computer Science. Stick to the practical aspects of the courses and classes you choose to take. To be certain, ask your employer which computer skills the company needs or will need in the near future.
